An ecologist specialising in ornithology, site-based conservation, and species ecology. Currently a Research Fellow at KNUST Kumasi, he previously served at the Ghana Wildlife Society and BirdLife International Africa. His work spans ecosystem services, climate change, urban wildlife ecology, and human–wildlife conflict, with a strong focus on how environmental change and human activity shape wildlife systems across West Africa. With extensive experience in West African ornithology, he has developed a particular interest in the ecology and conservation of threatened birds, long-term bird monitoring, camera trap deployment and analysis, and the design of community-based conservation initiatives. As Director at WingWatch Africa, he brings both scientific depth and applied experience, supporting the organisation's efforts to link research, monitoring, and conservation action.

A wildlife ecologist whose work investigates how habitat types, land-use practices, and human activities affect avian community composition and ecosystem functioning. He holds an MPhil in Wildlife Management from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, and an MSc in Conservation Biology from the A.P. Leventis Ornithological Research Institute at the University of Jos, Nigeria. His recent work supports the development of policy and training for farmers to promote sustainable agriculture and biodiversity-friendly livelihoods. His publications focus on avian species and functional diversity in savannah ecosystems. As Director of WingWatch Africa, he provides strategic leadership with a focus on aligning research, policy, and implementation — emphasising a grounded form of conservation that acknowledges the realities of human-dominated landscapes while working to maintain the ecological functions that sustain them.

A conservation ecologist interested in a simple but often overlooked idea: ecosystems can appear intact while being functionally degraded. His work combines field research and statistical modelling to examine how human pressure reshapes ecological communities—not only through species loss, but through the erosion of functional ecology. Focusing on birds across West African coastal and forest ecosystems, he studies how disturbance and urbanisation filter communities toward generalist-dominated assemblages, leaving systems that persist but are simplified. He has also worked at the intersection of wildlife health and conservation, investigating parasite transmission at the human–wildlife interface. As Secretary and Communications Lead at WingWatch Africa, he focuses on translating ecological patterns into clear, accessible narratives that challenge how biodiversity and ecosystem health are understood in both public and conservation spaces.

An ornithologist and conservation biologist dedicated to the study and protection of African bird species, with a particular focus on threatened vulture populations. His work spans field ecology, spatial analysis, and community-based conservation, grounded in extensive field experience across West Africa. He has contributed to vulture monitoring programs, urban biodiversity assessments, and research examining wildlife trade dynamics within traditional medicine markets. Based in Accra, he is particularly interested in species that persist within human-dominated landscapes and the ecological and social factors that determine their survival. As Founder of WingWatch Africa, he focuses on advancing science-driven conservation policy while strengthening local capacity for avian research and protection across the continent.
